Franz Ferdinand es una banda escocesa de indie rock fundada en 2002 en Glasgow. El grupo está integrado por Alex Kapranos (vocalista principal, guitarrista y tecladista), Bob Hardy (bajo), Nick McCarthy (guitarrista rítmico, tecladista y corista) y Paul Thomson (baterista y corista). La banda ha sido nominada a varios Premios Grammy, Premios Brit, y ha ganado un Premio NME. Con sus cuatros álbumes de estudio, la banda vendió más de tres millones de álbumes alrededor del mundo en 2009.
Hasta la fecha, la banda ha lanzado cuatro álbumes de estudio: Franz Ferdinand (2004), You Could Have It So Much Better (2005), Tonight: Franz Ferdinand (2009) y Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action (2013), además de un nuevo álbum titulado FFS (2015), el cual han hecho junto con Sparks bajo el nombre del supergrupo FFS. El grupo ha lanzado varios extended plays, numerosos singles, un álbum remix de su tercer álbum de estudio, Blood, y un DVD titulado Franz Ferdinand.
