Biografía de Modest Mouse
Modest Mouse es una banda estadounidense de indie rock formada en 1993 en Issaquah, Washington, por Isaac Brock (cantante y guitarrista), Jeremiah Green (baterista) y Eric Judy (bajista). Desde el álbum debut de la banda, This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About, lanzado en 1996, la alineación del grupo se ha centrado en Brock y Green. Judy estuvo en cada álbum de la banda hasta su salida en 2012.
 
El nombre de la banda deriva de un pasaje del relato de Virginia Woolf titulado "La marca en la pared", que dice: "Me gustaría encontrar unos pensamientos agradables, unos pensamientos que fueran un camino que indirectamente me reportara prestigio, ya que éstos son los pensamientos más agradables, y se encuentran muy a menudo incluso en la mente de la gente de modesto color ratonil, que sinceramente cree que no le gusta oír que les canten alabanzas".
